Currituck Co. Will Book 2, pp. 160-161

In the name of God Amen, I Peter PADRICK of Powels Point, Currituck County and provernis of North Carolina, being of perfect mind and memory, blessed be God for it, and calling to mind the frailty of nature with the shortness of life and certianty of death, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament Viz. Principally and first of all recommind my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, my body to the ground to be burred in a decent christ manner at the discression of my executors nothing doubting but I shall receive the same by the Almighty power of God and as for my worldly estate and good I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

Item I give to my Son Daniel PADRICK the two thirds of the land he now lives on to be divided easterly and westerly for him to have the part he now lives on.

Item I give to my Son Caleb PADRICK the other third part of the same tract also I give to my son Caleb PADRICK the place I now dwell on after the death of his Mother to him and there ears lawfully begotten of their body.

Item I give in my Son Daniel two cows and calves

I give to Caleb two cows and calves

I give to my Son Daniel one bed

I give to Caleb one bed

then I lend to my Wife Sarah PADRICK one horse and mare likewise my mark of cattle and sheep and hogs likewise my house hold goods and when my Wife dies or marries my will is that my estate that is not given be equally divided between Daniel and Caleb.

and lastly I appoint my well beloved Wife executrix and my two Sons Daniel and Caleb executors of this my Last Will and Testament where of I have set unto my hand and seal this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight.
