Present His Majesties Justices
    The Last Will and Testament of Christopher ONIL (sic) was exhibited and proved by the oath of Thos. MIDYETT in due form of law the executors being duly quallified . Ordered to be recorded. Stands as follows---

In the name of god Amen the 12th day of July 1769 I Christopher ONEIL of Chicknuanack in the County of Currituck being very sick and weak of body but being in perfect mind and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for it and calling to mind the mortallity of my body that it is appointed for all men once to die and I do therefore put my Last Will and Testament in writing . Therefore and first of all I give (faded out) mind my sould into the hands of Almighty God and for my body I commend unto the earth to be buried in Christain like manner at the discretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive and first of all my desire is that all my just debts be paid and as touching of my worldly estate I give in manner and form following.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my eldest Son John ONEIL Fifty Acres of land more or less wheron he now lives between Thomas MIDYETT a live oak at the north end of my field and about fifty acres of land on Hatteras to him his heirs and assign forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son William ONEIL one hundred and fifty acres of land lying between the north end of my field and the Deadend Creek to him his heirs and assign forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my two Sons Christopher and William ONEIL all my right of land from Jenken HARRIS(?) mark to the Boal Beach to them their heirs and assign forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas ONEIL one hundred acres of land wheron he now lives to him his heirs assigns forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my two Sons Christopher and William ONEIL all the rest of my lands on Hatteras to them their heirs and assign forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son William ONEIL all my housebles estate to him his heirs and assign forever. I hereby appoint my two Sons Christopher and William ONIEL to be my whole and sole lawfull executors and execute to their acknowledge this to be my Last Will and Testament and annulling all other when ever may shall appear as witness of my hand and seal.
