Currituck Co. Will Book 3, p. 166

In the name of God Amen.
I Thomas MORSE of the County of Currituck and State of NCarolina do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. Viz.

I leave the plantation called Spanns to be sold for six & twelve months credit to defray my just debts and should that be insufficient to do so then so much more of my property that can be best spared as will be sufficent. The land and plantation whereon I now live on Currituck sound or shore I leave the us of together with all the rest or residue of my estate after paying my just debts unto my Wife Elizabeth during her natural and after her death I give and bequeath the same unto my Sister Julian MORSE to her and heirs forever. I do hereby nominate and appoint Thomas C. FEREBEE and Doctr Gideon MERCHANT executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness wheoff I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of November 1823.
