Currituck Co. Will Book 1, pp. 82-83

In the name of God Amen,
I Solley MASON being very sick but in perfect since and memory thanks be to God for it, do make this my Last Will and Testament,

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Joseph MASON the one half of my plantation that I now live on the half adjoining to James SPENCE to him and his heirs lawfully forever.

Item: I also give and bequeath unto my Son Henery MASON the other half of my plantation which I now live on to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever.

Item: My will is that a parcell of land lying on or in the Juniper Swamp which contains one hundred and thirty acres and more should be sold to rais money to satisfie my Brother Joseph FERRIL for a debt due from me to him, the same to be sold at publick sale.

Item: I give and bequeath to my loving Wife Ann MASON nine shattes and two sows and pigs and the third of my estate with in doors and without.

Item: further my will is that after my debts is settled and paid that the remainder of my estate which is left shall be equeally divided amongst and between my Daughter Sidney MASON and James MASON and Sarah MASON.

I also leave my Son Joseph MASON and Sidney MASON in the cear (care) and charge of James FEREBEE. and I also appoint Solomon PERKEINS and James FEREBEE sole executors to this my Will allowing this to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 28th day of November in one thousand seven hundred and seventy three.
