In the name of God Amen, I Daniel LUFFMAN, of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being sick and weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory Thanks be to God for the same, do make constitute ordain and appoint this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz. First I recommend my soul to Almighty God, and my body to be buried in a christian like manner at the descrection of my executors hereafter named----

Imprimus: I leave the use of my land and plantation wheron I now live to my dearly beloved Wife Dinah LUFFMAN during her natural life, she raising my children in the best manner she is capible of, then at her decease to be equally divided between my two Sons William LUFFMAN and Phillip LUFFMAN begining at William JARVES corner gum, thence along said JARVESs line to the corner of the wheat patch fence thence such a course to JENKINSs line as well devide said land equally my said Son Phillip to have the part where on the house stands to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I leave that slipe of land laying to the eastward of William MONCRIEF across to Thomas FEREBEEs line to be sold by my execs. to the best advantage to pay my debts etc. being part of that piece of land I formerly lived on it is my will and desire that the residue or remainder of my estate after my Wifes decease should be equally devided between my two Daughters Peggy LUFFMAN and Amey LUFFMAN to them and their heirs forever.

Also it is my will and desire that my beloved Wife should use and make use of all my estate both real and personal at her own descretion for the use and support of my family, committing no waste there on and keeping my children clear of expence,

Lastly I constitute and appoint my dearly beloved Wife Dinah LUFFMAN my whole and sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and afixed my seal this 20th day of June one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight.
