The Last Will and Testament of Daniel LEE deceased Exhibited and proved at Feby. Term 1823.

In the name of God Amen. I Daniel LEE of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being of a sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God for the same do this Twenty Second day of Novbr in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Two do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say:

First of all I give and bequeath unto my Sun Jessee LEE the land and plantation that I now live on and One other tract of land beginning as follows beginning at the Reedy Branch down at the percosian running up the Bunell ditch to Richard FLORYs line and thence along a cleared way where I intend to cut a ditch to CUTERALs line and thence along the Branch to Hollowell ETHERIDGEs line then up the sd line to Moses BUNNELLs land he bought of WRIGHT thence across the road joining Thos. WRIGHTs land to the purcosion thence along the percosion to the first station including both tracts and three negrows a negro man named Mingo and negros Comfort and Rachel and the negrows he has in his percession to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary DOUGE all that tract of land she now lives on and the following negrows one negro man named Lam One woman Rindy one girl Milbry and one negro woman she now has in her persesion to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Frankey BUNNILL one tract of land called SNODGRASSes beginning at the corner oake at Richard FLORAYs line thence binding on the land I gave to my Sun Jessee LEE thence binding on the land of John FLORY and thence to Richard FLORYs line thence up the line to the first station and also my parte of the cypress swamp and the following negrows One negro man Tom one woman Edy and One boy Peter and the negrows she has in her persession and one young mule to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I lend the use and benefit of the following land to my Grand Daughter Eliza McPHERSON until she arrive to the age of Eighteen then for the land to return to my heirs the land joining Richard FLORYs thence joining Willoughby WEST and joining Mitchel SCOTT thence binding on the Guinney Road to the road leads to Tulls Creek down the main road to the first station it being the residue of my land not willed away and in case she should marry under the age of Eighteen or after then I give it to her and her heirs forever and also I will the following negrows the same way that I before willed the land one negro boy Nat and one negro girl Patsey and one Harriet and in case she should marry then I gave them to her and her heirs forever. I also give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter one cow & calf to her and her heirs forever.

The residue of my estate I gave to be equeal divided between my Three children Jessee LEE, Mary DOUGE, Frankey BUNNILL to them and their heirs forever.

Also my Sun Jessee LEE I leave to have the whole and sole care of the above legacies willed away to my Grand Daughter Eliza McPHERSON until she marreys for her use and benefit.

And I hereby make and ordain my Sun Jessee LEE executor of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Danniell LEE have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
