State of N. Carolina, I Silvanus HOWELL of the State aforsd. and County of Currituck being in perfect health and in a disposing mind and memory Thanks God for the same calling to mind it is apointed for all men once to die which accsaisened(?) me to make this my Last Will and Testament solemnely and firmely revoaking and pertest- ing against all other wills that I have cou(?) maid hearto- fore either by writing or verbeley and in the first place, I recommend my soul to Almighty God that gave it me, and my body to be buried at the descrection of my executors and as for touching my worley estate that God has ben pleased to bless me with I give and dispose of it in the following manner and form----

Item: I give and bequeath to my friend John LINDSEY SEN. the whole of my estate of every kind eaven my waring apparel all included--to him and his hairs forever.  I now nominate constitute and apoint my aforsd. friend John LINDSEY as my whole and soul exuctor to this my Last Will and Testament as witness to the same I do hear seal sign publish, pronounce and declared in the presents of
