I Hester Ann HILL of the aforesaid County and State, being of sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last will and testament.

Item One.  My executrix, hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives and pay all of my funeral expenses out of the first money which may come into her hands belonging to my estate.

Item Two.  I give and devise to my sister, Mary Eliza SHARPE, in fee simple, a tract of land located in Moyock Township, Currituck County, North Carolina, adjoining the lands of JENKINS, BAGLEY and others, containing two (2) acres, more or less, being the same tract of land which I purchased of a Mr. AYDLETT, same being all the real estate I own and being where I lived for several years until the latter part of the year 1905.

Item Three.  I give and devise to my sister, Mary Eliza SHARPE, all of my personal property of every kind and description whatsoever, of which I may die seized and possessed, consisting of beds, clothing, etc.

Item Four.  I hereby constitute and appoint my sister, Mary Eliza SHARPE, my lawful executrix to all intents and purposes, to execute this my last will and testament, according to the true intent and meaning of the same, and every part and clause thereof

In witness whereof, I, the said Hester Ann HILL, do hereunto set my hand and affix my seal, this, the 27th day of July, 1906.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Hester Ann HILL to be her last will and testament in the presence of us, who at her request and in her presence, and in the presence of each other, do subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.

     A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Hester Ann HILL, deceased, is exhibited before me, the undersigned, Clerk of the Superior Court for said County, by Mary Eliza SHARPE, the executrix therein mentioned, and the due execution thereof by the said Hester Ann HILL is proved by the oath and examination of J.C. SPENCE and Geo. J. SPENCE the subscribing witnesses thereto, who, being duly sworn, doth depose and say, and each for himself deposeth and saith, that he is a subscribing witness to the paper writing now shown him purporting to be the last will and testament of Hester Ann HILL that the said Hester Ann HILL in the presence of this deponent, subscribed her name at the end of said paper-writing, which is now shown as aforesaid, and which bears date of the 27th day of July, 1906.
     And the deponent further saith, that the said Hester Ann HILL the testatrix aforesaid, did, at the time of subscribing her name as aforesaid, declare the said paper-writing so subscribed by her and exhibited, to be her last will and testament, and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of said will, as an attesting witness thereto, and at the request and in the presence of said testatrix.  And this deponent further saith, that at the said time when the said testatrix subscribed her name to the said last will as aforesaid, and at the time of deponent's subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto, as aforesaid, the said Hester Ann HILL was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent: And further these deponents say not.

Severally sworn and subscribed this 20th day of January, 1908 before me

     It is therefore considered, adjudged by the Court that the said paper-writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of Hester Ann HILL, deceased.  Let the said will, together with the probate, be recorded and filed.  This 20th day of January, 1908.

    I, W.H. JENNINGS, Clerk of the Superior Court of Pasquotank County, State of North Carolina, the same being a Court of record, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy and transcript of the last will and testament of Hester Ann HILL, deceased, and the probate thereof, as the same appears on record and file in my office.
    In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court, this the 23rd day of January, 1908.
