I Unice HALSTEAD of the of Currituck and State of North Carolina do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

I give and bequath unto my dear Sister Elcey THOMPSON of the land whare I now live adjoining the lands of John WILLIAMS, Samuel THOMPSON and John MATHIAS.  I also give and bequath all the rest and residue of my estate goods and chattles wearing apparrel etc. to my dear beloved Sister Elcey THOMPSON whom I nominate constitute and appoint sole executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time theretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the thirty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight and twenty nine.

Signed, sealed published and declared by the said Testator Unice HALSTEAD as and for Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witness thereto, the presence of said Testator.

    This Last Will and Testament of Unice HALSTEAD deceased was exhibited and proved in open Court by the oaths of James WILLIAMS and John W. HUGHS two subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered recorded. When letters of Adm. with the will annexed was granted Elcy THOMPSON who qualified and bonded in due form of law.
