In the name of God Amen, I Spence HALL SR. of the State of North Carolina Currituck County, Powels Point being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to the All Mighty God for the same and knowing it is appointed once for all men to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament.

First of all I recommend my soul into the hands of All Mighty God that gave it me, and my body to be decently buried in the earth at the descrestion of my executers hearafter mentioned as for my wearldly estate as have bin pleas God to bless me with, I despose of in the manner and form following

First I desire all my just debts should be paid by my executors

Item: I lend to my beloved Wife Directer HALL during her widowhood as followeth the plantation whereon I now live with the use of four negroes named Sam, George, Diner, Obed, and the choice of my horse Kind, two feather beads, and firneture and all my kitching firneture, one hand mill, three cows and callves ten head of sheep, plantation tulos of all kinds allso I lend to my said Wife Directer HALL all my estate in doors and out during her life accept my money, and of that I give my Wife Directer HALL one hundred dollars to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Sun Nathan HALL the land and plantation whereon I now live with all the land thereunto belonging after the marriage or death of his Mother Directer HALL, also fifty acres on the banks lying on Kety Hawk on Panter Creek to him and his heirs forever.  Allso five head of cattle and one negro boy cald Tom, one negro boy cald Obed to him and his heirs forever with all my wearing apparel.

Item: I give and bequeth to my Sun in Law William TATEM and Vashte TATEM one negro garl named Isabell to them and their heirs forever.  Allso thirty silver dollars.

Item: I give and bequeth to my Sun Spence HALL all my land on the south side of Pain Swamp from the said swamp with a sutherly line to Samson ETHERAGEEs line to Currituck Sound and up said sound to the first station after the death of his Mother Directer HALL to him and his heirs forever. Allso all my land I hold in Parkiln Point pattern excepting fifty acres of land out of said pattern for Sarah GREGORY. Allso fifty acres of land on Kety Hawk banks ajoining the land given his Brother Nathan to him and his heirs forever, with five head of cattle on said land.  Allso three negros Sarah, Bets, Samson.  Allso one negro George after the death of his Mother Directer HALL to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeth unto Willoughby WHITE and his Wife Mary forty silver dollars. Allso all I lent them hear to foar to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequth to the children of Suffier CHAPLIN des. one negro woman cald Vilet and increes to be equally divided between sd. children at the comeing to age of Soloman CHAPLIN to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I lend to my Sun in Law Thomas GREGORY and Directer GREGORY his Wife the land whereon they now live so long as they live on the same and in case they move off the sd. land my will and desire is that my Sun Nathan HALL shall take possesn. of the said land until Sarah GREGORY comes to age or marryes.

Item: I give and bequeth unto my Grand Daughter Sarah GREGORY fifty acres of land begining at Nathan HALLs north line and runing with said line to the head line and as far northerdly as will make fifty acres to her and her heirs forever, and in case Sarah GREGORY should die befor she comes to age or marries my will and desire is that the land above given to Sarah GREGORY should go and desend to Spence Hall GREGORY to him and his forever.

Item: I lend to my Daughter Directer GREGORY and my Sun in Law Thomas GREGORY one negro woman named Diner after the death of her Mother Directer HALL, and after the desese of Directer GREGORY the sd. negro and increes to go and desend to Spence Hall GREGORY to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeth to my Daughter Directer GREGORY and my Sun in Law Thomas GREGORY thirty silver dollars.

Item: My will and desire is that after the death of my Wife Directer HALL that the hole of my estate that is not given away should be equally devided among all my children namely Vashte TATEM, Mary WHITE, Nathan HALL, Spence HALL, Directer GREGORY to them and their heirs forever.

I do nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Directer HALL and my Suns Nathan HALL and Spence HALL my hole and sole executers to this my Last Will and Testament in witness hearof I hearunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety one
