The last will and Testament of Thomas GRE[G]ORY, deceased was exhibited in open court at February term 1845 and the execution of the same proved by the oaths of James BEAN and Hodges GALLOP two of the subscribing evedences there to in due form and Fanny W. GREGORY the executor there in name quallifyed in due form ordered recorded.

   In the name of God Amen.  I Thomas GREGORY of the State of North Carolina and County of Currituck, being weak and feble in body but of sound disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as follows

   First I command my soul in the hands of God who give it my body to be descently burried and as tuching the wordly substances which it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose of and give as follows to wit.

   Item the 1  I give to my Son Spence GREGORY fifty cents to him and his heirs forever.

   Item 2  I give to my Son Nathen H. GREGORY fifty cents to him and his heirs forever.

   Item the 3  I give to my Son Manloff R. GREGORY one chest which were his Mothers and all my waring appearel to him and his heirs forever.

   Item 4  I give to my Daughter Dorector GALLOP fifty cents to her and her heirs forever.

   Item 5  I give to my Daughter Lutedy PARKER fifty cents to her and her heirs forever.  [Original will has this woman as Sivility Parker.]

   Item the 6  I give to my Grand Son Thomas G. RODGERS son of my Daughter Polly RODGERS deceased fifty cents and all of the cloth of every kind that I shall or may have at my death not made up if there should be any to him and his heirs forever.

   Item 7  I give to my Daughter Fanny W. GREGORY the peace of land whereon I now live with all the appertences there unto belonging with all my other property in doors and out doors of every kind to the amount of one cent with all my whole right of Pension couming to me after paying of the above legacies as I have give or ofering to do so with the intention of doing it to her and her heirs forever.

   Lastly I nominate and appoint my Daughter Fanny W. GREGORY my executrix to this my last will and Testament and by these presents do revoke all others set my hand and affixed my seal this the 16 day of May 1843.
