In the name of God Amen, I Jesse GREGORY of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina Planter, being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God for it, doe this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say,

Item I give and bequeath to my Sun Isaac GREGORY one half of that tract of land in Camden County laying in the Lake which he hath already got a deed for to him and his heirs for ever.

Item I give and bequeath to my Sun Caleb GREGORY the other half of the said tract of land laying in Camden County for which he has got a deed to him and his heirs for ever-----

Item I leave the yous of all the land and plantation whearon I now live together with all my stock of every kind and all my houshold goods and plantation tools of every kind to my beloved Wife Mary GREGORY for and during her natural life.

Item I give to my Daughter Peggy MORS five shillings together with what she has already received to her and her heirs etc.

Item I give to my Sun Thomas GREGORY one half of my home plantation after the death of his Mother it being the south end of said plantation begining at Richard HUTCHINS line thence runing across the plantation along a ditch to North River swamp and then a straight course to the River to him and his airs for ever.

Item I give to my LemuelL GREGORY all the remainder of my plantation after the death of his Mother to him and his airs forever and if either of my two Suns Thomas GREGORY or Lemuel GREGORY should die without lawful issue lawfuly begotten then his part of the land to fall to his surviving Brother.

and my will and desire is that after the death of my Wife Mary that all my estate shall be equally divided between my five children that is to say, Thomas GREGORY, Luvy GREGORY, Edney GREGORY, Sinney GREGORY, and Lemuel GREGORY.

and in witness whareof I have hearunto set my hand and fixd my seal the day and year written and I doe constitute and appoint my Thomas and my friend Joseph FEREBEE my executors to this my Last Will and Testament
