Currituck Co. Will Book 3, p. 88

In the name of God, Amen. I John GARRELL of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being weak in body, but perfect and of a composed mind, do make this my Last Will and Testament, in the manner and form as follows, to wit: I give to my Daughter Elizabeth WILLIAMS two shillings and sixpence.

Item: I give to my Son John GARRELL two shillings and sixpence.

Item: I give to Grandson John G. BERRY, two shillings and sixpence.

Item: It is will and desire that beloved Wife Rachel GARRELL should have five barrels of corn, one barrel of pork made out of the hogs now on the land, also I lend her one mare called Fan, six chairs of choice, one cow, after her death or marriage it is will for it to return to my Son Benjamin H. GARRELL.

It is my will and desire, that all my lawful debts to be paid and what remains I give to my Son Benjamin H. GARRILL, to him and his heirs forever; also one feather bed fore present use, also my Tennessee land, if the warrant should be obtained. I constitute and appoint Andrew BRAY and my Son Benjamin H. GARRELL Executors to my Last Will and Testament. I have hereunto set my and seal this the twenty sixth day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.
