The Last Will and Testament of Thomas FANSHAW deceased was exhibited in open Court at Feby. Term 1840 and proven by the oath of Davis B. MORSE one of the subscribing evedences there to and Anny FANSHAW Executrix there to quallified in due form of Law and ordered Recorded.

State of North Carolina}
    Currituck County     }    April the 13th day 1838

I Thomas FANSHAW planter by occupation. In the name of God Amen, do make this instrument of writing to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form and following that is to say

   Item 1st I give and bequeath unto my wife daughter Dinah LEE one bed and furniture to her and her heirs for ever.

   Item 2nd I give to my beloved wife Any FANSHAW all my money and notes to her and her hirs for ever.

   Item 3rd I lend the use and benefit of all my property with in doors and without and land to my beloved wife Anny FANSHAW during her natural life.

   Item 4 After my wife Anny FANSHAW death I give to Elizabeth FANSHAW daughter of John FANSHAW all my land and all my property with in doors and without to her and her heirs for ever.

   I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Anny FANSHAW Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament the day and date above written.  Signed sealed published and declared this to be my Last Will and Testament in presents of us.
