In the name of God Amen, I Samuel ETHERIDGE SEN. of North Carolina Currituck County, being sick and weak but of sound and perfect sense and memory thanks be to God Almighty for it do hereby make this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. In form as followeth Viz:

Item: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Samuel ETHERIDGE one feather bed and furniture, half a dozen pewter plates, one pewter dish, one large iron pott, nine head of cattle, two sows and ten pigs, two ewes to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Mary ETHERIDGE all the remainder of my estate within and without during her life, after her decease to be equally divided amongst all my children Mary ETHERIDGE, Caleb ETHERIDGE, Benjamin TATOM, Lydia ETHERIDGE, Abigal OVERTON, and Samuel ETHERIDGE to them and their heirs forever.

I do nominate and appoint my well beloved wife Mary ETHERIDGE , my son Caleb ETHERIDGE my whole and sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. Witness my hand and seal this Ninth day of September 1780.
