The last will and Testament of Mable ETHERIDGE deceased was exhibited in open court at May Term 1849 and the execution of the same proved by the oath of David MORSE one of the subscribing witness thereto in due form ordered recorded.

   In the name of God Amen.

   I Mable ETHERIDGE of the county of Currituck and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this the seventeenth day of May one Thousand eight hundred and forty one in the year of our Lord make and publish my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say:

   First Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Lurainer GARRETT five shillings.

   Item 2 I give unto my Daughter Patsey GREGORY five shillings.

   Item 3 I give unto my Granddaughter Polly WHITHURST five shillings

   Item 4 I give and bequeath unto my Son Delano ETHERIDGE one young colt.

   Item 5 I give unto my Two Sons John Charlton and Delano ETHERIDGE all the remainder of my estate in doors and out doors to be equally divided between my two sons above named.

   And I hereby make and ordain my worthy friend Davis B. MORSE executor of this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Mable ETHERIDGE have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.  Signed sealed published and declared by the said Mable ETHERIDGE the Testatrix as her last will and Testament in the presence of us who ware present at that time of signing and sealing thereof
