In the name of God Amen. I Andrew DUKE being in sound and perfect mind and memory. Blessed be God for it doth make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as followeth that is to say I recommend my sole to God that gave and my boudy to be decently buried in my Yewpon nursery near the North west ende of my dwelling house the first part of the grave one foot below the top of the ground and then the deabth of my coffin.

Item. I lend all my property within dores and without to my beloved Wife Rhoda DUKE during her widowhood or life and in case she marries nothing but the following property to wit. One bead and furniture the first choice and one other the fourth chois one horse and riding chear the first choice, two cows and calves the first choice, six head of hogs, fore head of sheep four setting chears, one large juniper chest one pair of brass fier dogs and one tea chest and the reason is that I lend all my property in the manner I have is to keep my children free from expence and to give them larning in that surcumstance.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Andrew DUKE all of my lands of every description with all the improvements thereon to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath to my Son Andrew DUKE three negroes to wit. George a man, Dick a man and Rebecca a girl to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Andrew DUKE one desk, one large beaufat, one gun, one squar walnut table to him and his heirs for ever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Son Andrew DUKE and Sally DUKE my beads and furniture to be equeally divided between them to them and their heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sally DUKE one negro man by the name of Isaac, one negro girl by the name of Juda one walnut table and a small beaufat to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I give and bequeath to my Beloved Wife Rhodah DUKE one negro woman by the name of Eady, one negro man by the name of Adam to her and her heirs forever.

Item. All the remainder of my estate not already given away I leave to be equely divided between my two children Sally DUKE and Andrew DUKE and not to be sold but rented out or hired out for the good of my children to them and their heirs forever.

Allso I constitute and appoint my beloved Wife Rhoda DUKE Josiah ETHERIDGE and William ETHERIDGE Son of Josiah my hole and sole executors to this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereunto I have set my hand and seal this 9th of Octr. 1821.
