State of North Carolina Currituck County

In the name of God amen.  I Nathaniel W. DUDLEY of the state and county aforesaid being sick and desire to dispose of my worldly goods being of sound mind and memory do on this the 21st day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty four do declare this to be my last will and testament.

First I gave my soul to God and my body to be buried in a christianlike manner.

Second I gave all of my property to my wife Elizabeth DUDLEY both real and personal estate to her and her heirs forever after the paying of of all my just debts and I do hereby renounce all former wills by me made and I do nominate my wife Elizabeth DUDLEY sole executrix to this my last will and testament the day and date above written.

Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us

     Hardy H. HALSTEAD    Jurat

    This paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Nathaniel W. DUDLEY, deceased, is exhibited for probate in open court and the due execution thereof by the said Nathaniel W. DUDLEY is proved by the oaths and examination of E.W. JONES and Hardy H. HALSTEAD, the subscribing witnesses thereto.
    It is therefore considered by the court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of the said Nathaniel W. DUDLEY and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed.
