The last will and Testament of Anthony DOUGLASS decd. was exhibited in open court and the execution of the same proved by the oath of Samuel B. DOZIER one of the subscribing evedences there to in due form ordered Recorded.

   In the name of God Amen.  I Anthony DOUGLASS of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being in perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form as follows viz.

   First I loan unto my dear beloved Mother Mary DOUGLASS all of my estate with in doors and with out lands and tenements during her natural life or widowhood.

   Secondly I give unto my Brother Mark DOUGLASS after my Mothers death the North end of my plantation commencing at a pine a corner between me and Caleb MILLER thence a Westerardly course across the plantation that is to say the cleared land, the South end of my plantation I give unto Mary Jane WALKER Daughter of Caleb and Polly WALKER after my Mothers death.

   I give unto Caleb LASTER My gun and a porates? the balance of my estate I give unto Moses and Johnson DOUG[L]ASS to be equally divided between them at my Mothers death in witness I have here unto set my hand and seal this 17 day of Septer 1843.
