In the name of God Amen. I Willis DAUDG of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina being sick at this present and weak in body, but of a sound mind and memory do make and establish this my Last Will and Testament in maner and form as follows that is to say…

I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Chloe DOUDG one bead and furnature and seven chirs and one table and linning wheal. I also lind my wife Chloe DOUDG the residue of my estate during her life or widowhood and at hir death or marrig to bee equled devided between my three children Mils, Patsey and Elisa after paing my just debts I wish my exetor to sel privitly as mutch of my proprty as will pay my debts and I appint Joab SOREY my hole and sole exetor to this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other will made by me prier to this where of I have set my hand and seal this 19th day of April in the year of our Lord one thosand eaight hundred and twenty three.
