Feb. 4, 1799 - July 5, 1799
Currituck Co. Will Book 2, pp. 150-151

In the name of God Amen, I Tulley DAUGE of the County of Currituck in the State of North Carolina, being sick in body but Thanks to God of a sound and disposing mind but knowing it is appointed for all man once to die do therefore make and ordorn (sic) this to be my Last Will and Testament in for and manner as follows Viz.

Item leave to my beloved Wife Elizabeth DAUGE the use of my negro man Tom and my negro woman Lettis and my negro girl Esther during her natural lifetime and after her decease to be equally divided between my two Daughters Susanna and Huldey DAUGE to them and theirs heirs forever, I also give to my afsd. Wife Elizabeth DAUGE two feather beds and the furniture belonging to them also six sitting cheirs three of them mahoggany and three others also the use of one case of droisers and one juniper chest during her natural lifetime I also give to my afsd. Wife one third part of all my hoggs cattle and sheep also two of my horse kind her first choice also I give to my afsd. Wife as much of my house- hold and kitchen furnature and plantation utensials as will be sufficient to carry on her farming business also one yoke of stears and stear cart also a sufficent quantity of pork, corn etc. to support herself and family for the term or one year.

Item I give and bequeath to my two Sons Samuel and James DAUGE all my lands to be equally divided between them also I leave my still to my Son Samuel or James which ever falls heir to my North River and out lands, I also give to my afsd. Sons my negro Daniel and negro Feaby and negro Isabel only her first child to my Daughter Susanna and one half of negro Atiar to be equally divided between them. I also give to my Son Samuel one negro boy Joe also one negro boy Jonas to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Polley OLD one negro woman Pat and one boy Aron and one girl Hannah also one young horse three years old and two cows and calves and six head of sheep and ten head of hogs to her and her heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my Son James DAUGE one negro boy Tom also one negro boy March to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Susanna DAUGE one negro boy Ruben also one negro girl Sidney also the first child my negro woman Isabel brings also one horse or mare her next choice also one mare colt that come of my mare Jin to her and her heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Huldey DAUGE one negro boy Brian also one negro Sal and also one negro boy George also one of my horse kind her next choice also one horse colt to her and her heirs forever.

Item I leave all the remainder of my estate not given away in this will  to my Sons Samuel and James DAUGE and my two Daughters Susanna and Huldey DAUGE to them and their heirs for ever.

I constitute my well beloved Wife Elizabeth DAUGE and Samuel DAUGE my whole and sole executors of this my Last Will to settle all my business agreeable to this will and as the law shall direct in witness hereunto I hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of February 1799.
