In the name of God Amen, I Benjamin DAUGE of Currituck County and in the State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory bless be God for it do this 11th day of October one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven, make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say-----

Imprimus: I give and bequeath to my Son Richard DAUGE one peace or parcel of land that I bought of my Son Tulley DAUGE taking all the land to James BRENT, Ames ETHERIDGEs, James JARVESIS and my Son Elias DAUGEs land to containing fifty acres of land more or less to him and his heirs

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Elias DAUGE one peace of land that I bought of Elisha JENKINS joining James BRENTs land to contain one acre of land more or less to him and his heirs.

Item: I give the use of all the rest of my estate within doors and without to my well beloved Wife Rachel DAUGE during her natural life and then to equally divided among all my children and my Grandson Thomas MULDER to them and their heirs as aforesaid.

I do hereby make and ordain my well beloved Wife Rachel DAUGE with my trusty friend Samuel SIMMONS to be executrix or exect. of this my Last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and afixt my seal this day and date aforesaid----
