In the name of God Amen, I Rebeca CLALAND, in the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, being in sound and perfect memory Thanks be to God for the same do make and ordain this too be my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made do confirm this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

I recommend my soul into the hands of Allmighty God who gave it and my body I give to the earth from whence it was taken to be burried at the descretion of my eax. hearafter named my worldly goods I give as follows,

Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved Sister Catherine LURRY the work and also of my negro girl Abey during her natural life and then to her Daughter Pennelope LURRY to her and her heirs forever but in case her daughter Pennelope die without issue of her body lawfully begotten in that case it is my desire that my Sister Cathrine LURRYs children which shall be at that time living

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Debrough TAYLOR my saddle bridle and cloke to her and her heirs for ever

Item I give unto Mary McKEELs two children Nathanel BRENKLY and Rebeca BRENKLY ten pounds for the use and intent of schooling them

I also give to Nancy NUBORNs two children George and Petheny NUBORN ten pounds for the use of schooling them

Item I give and bequeath unto Sister Debrough TAYLOR and Polly McKEEL and Nancy NUBORN all my waring apparel with the remainder part of my estate which shall appear ungiven away to them and their heirs for ever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth SIMONDS twenty shillings in full of all her portion.

Item I give and bequeath unto Sister Cathrine LURRY my rugg and wheal all the ballance of a note against George BAINS JR. estate after the above mentioned twenty pounds is paid to schooling the four children of BRENKLEYs and NUBORNs as above mentioned

and I do appoint Brother William LURRY and my friend Caleb CHURCH to be my executors to this my Last Will and Testament as witness my hand and seal this 28th day of January in year of our Lord 1798.
