In the name of God Amen, I Solomon CAMPBELL of Currituck County being in good health and of sound and disposing memory do make and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament as follows Viz-----

Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my Son Moses CAMPBELL my land and plantation whereon I now live to him and his heirs forever. Likewise give him one cow and calf one pewter dish and six pewter plates, one feather bed two hoes one plough to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Charlotte one pewter dish two pewter basons two chests six spoons one frying pan to her and her heirs forever and one trunk.

Item: I give to the child my Wife Lucy is big with eighteen head of hogs two wheels four cups four bottles, croscut saw, hand saw two axces and all the rest of my estate to that and its heirs forever.

Item: My will and desire is that my Wife Lucy CAMPBELL have the use of the above mentioned things during her widowhood and then to be divided as they are given.

Item: I appoint my Wife Lucy to be my whole and sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixt my seal this first day of August 1777.
