In the name of God amen, I Lettia BROWN of Currituck being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this second day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Caleb SEARS one feather bed and furniture and one linnen wheel and one third part of all my land to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my Son John SEARS heirs one feather bed and furniture and one ????? ???????? and hand ??????? all my lands to which he received in his lifetime Also one third part of my land to them and their heirs begotten by their body forever and if they die without such heir the land to fall to my Son Caleb SEARS and his heirs.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ribecca SIMMONS one feather bed and furniture and one linnen wheel and one ?????? stear called Po????? To her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Daughter Peggy SNOWDEN one feather bed and furniture, one linnen wheel and one saddle and bridle and one horse called Teague to her and her heirs forever also I give her one third part of all my land to her the said Peggy SNOWDEN and her heirs begotten of her body forever and if she dies without such heir then her part of said land to go to my Son Caleb SEARS also I lend the use of my dwelling house to my Daughter Peggy SNOWDEN if she ---------------

Item: I leave all the rest of my property with in and without after paying my debts to be divided into three parts in ?????? of ?????????. I give to my Son Caleb SEARS and his heirs forever and one third of ?????? I give to John SEARS heirs forever and the other third I give to Peggy SNOWDEN and her heirs forever and I hereby ????? and ordain my Son Caleb SEARS and my Son in law Thomas SIMMONS my executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Lettia BROWN have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed published and declared in presense of us who were present at the time of signing and sealing thereof .
