Know all men By these Presents that I [James BROWN] of the Precint of Coratuck and In the [County] of Allbemarll of the Province of North Carolina at this time very weak ...[faded]... perfect ...[faded]... commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God ...[faded]... To my wellbeloved wife Mary BROWN the Plantation whereon Truman MacBRIDE Lives during her Life. Item. I leave to my beloved wife Mary ...[faded]...

I give to my son William BROWN living at the Head of the Bay granson to Governor MARCUM* the Plantation whereon Truman MacBRIDE lives after the death of my wife Mary BROWN and all the Rest of my Land at the Forks of Paspetank[?] I ...[faded]... my son William BROWN ...[faded]...
