In the name of God Amen, I Willis BRIGHT of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, calling to mind the nonecertianty of this life and it being ordained for all men once to die, do make and ordain this instrument of writing to contain my Last Will and Testament.

First, that is to say, I recommend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and my body to buried in a christian like manner and as to what estate it hath been pleased God to give me I give and dispose in manner and form as followeth---

My will and desire is that I give and bequeath unto my Son Aaron BRIGHT seventy acres of land whereon he now lives to him and his heirs for ever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Jonathen BRIGHT seventy acres of land whereon he now live to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Isaac BRIGHT the manner plantation where on I now live on containing one hundred acres more or less to him and his heirs for ever.  also my will and desire is that my afsd. Son Isaac BRIGHT should have one bed and furniture one cow and calf.

Item I give and bequeth unto my Son Richard BRIGHT ninty acres of land that I bought of George ROLAND joining William FLOREY to him and his heirs forever also my will and desire is that afsd. Son Richard BRIGHT should have one bed and furniture also one of the old houses to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Solomon BRIGHT ninty acres of land joining my Son Richard BRIGHT to him and his heirs forever also my will and desire is that afsd. Son Solomon BRIGHT should have the apple orchard joining the buildings also one of the houses, one feather bed and furniture one cow and calf to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeth unto my Daughter Elizabeth BALLENTINE fifty acres of land joining my Son Solomon BRIGHT to her and her heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeth unto my Grandson Willis Bright BALLENTINE one paid heffer to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeth unto my Daughter Mary BRIGHT fifty acres of land joining Lettisha LEE to her and her heirs forever also my will and desire is that my afsd. Daughter Mary BRIGHT should have one bead and furniture, one cow and calf one side saddle to her and her heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeth to my well beloved Wife Mary BRIGHT all the remainder of my estate in doors and out doors debts dues and demands of whatsoever after paying my just debts.

I also constitute and appoint my well beloved Wife Mary BRIGHT and Richard BRIGHT my Son my whole and sole executor to this my Last Will and testament to see all my estate settled according to this my Last Will and the law shall require in witness my hand seal this 27 day of February 1795
