At an Inferior Court of Pleas and Quarter Session held at the Courthouse in Currituck on the first Tuesday in March Anno Domin 1769
Present his Majesties Justices

The Last Will and Testament of Wallace BRAY the Elder planter deceased and the Last Will and Testament of William WARD planter deceased having been then and there in open court ordered duly proved and the respective executors thereof having at the same time taken the oath of an executor: the Last Wills were ordered to be recorded whereupon they here follow accordingly--The Last Will and Testament of Wallace BRAY SEN. In Hoc Verba.

In the name of God Amen I Wallace BRAY SEN. of the county and province aforesaid being very sick and weak tho in perfect sound senses and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for it do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in the form and manner following vizt--

Item: I give to my Grand Daughter Mary BRAY JR. one feather bed and furniture to her the said Mary BRAY and her heirs for ever.

Item: I give to my Grandson William BRAY one feather bed and the furniture to him the said William BRAY and his heirs for ever.

Item: I give to my Daughter -in-law Isobel HUTSON one cow and calv, and one dry cow two ews and lambs to her the said Isobel HUTSON and her heirs for ever

Item: I give to my Grandson Wallace BRAY all the rest of my estate to him the said Wallace BRAY and his heirs lawfully begotten of his body for ever.

The last of all I leave and appoint Grandson Wallace BRAY to be my whole and sole executor to this my Last Will and Testament Given under my hand and seal this 25th day of July and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty eight.
