Linner/Liner Bray
April 13, 1814; Feb. 29, 1815
Currituck Co. Will Book 3, p. 50

In the name of God Amen.

I Linner BRAY of the County of Currituck, and State of North Carolina, being of body, but of a sound disposing mind and memory, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament, in manner and form following.

Item. I give unto my Son Andrew BRAY one negro man by the name of Tom, one feather bed, one cow and calf, six ews and five lambs, one cow yearling, one red stear, one set of tea cups and saucers, half dozen tea spoons, one half of the hogs, one half of the corn, pork and fat.

Item. I give unto my Son Thomas BRAY one negro woman by the name of Judy and all her increase, with his paying two hundred dollars to the executor for him to school as he shall think proper William DOXEY my Grand Son, and Matilda DOXEY my Grand Daughter. I also give unto my Son Thomas BRAY one feather bed, one walnut desk, the remainder of my sheep, all the remainder of my hogs one half of the corn, pork and fat, one side saddle one bowfat, one large walnut table, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto my Son William BRAY one negro man by the name of Jordan, one square walnut table, one feather bed, one pine chest, one set tea cups and saucers, and choice of trunks to him and his heirs forever.

Item. I give unto Sanford DOXEY the sum of five shillings, to him and his heirs forever.

Item. It is my will and pleasure that all the remainder of my property should be equally divided between my three Sons Andrew BRAY, Thomas BRAY and William BRAY to them and their heirs forever.

I nominate and appoint my Son Thomas BRAY executor to this my Last Will and Testament.
