The 23 [Day] of March 1753
This is my Last will and Testament In the Name of God And I Leave to my Son Moses BENNET and His ares and success this plantacion and all the Land that Belong there unto and I give one Cow and Calf.

And I Leave to my Son Bengamen BENNET and his ares and success One hundred and fifty Akers of Land Lying upon Moyork Creak there unto and I give one Cow and Calf.

and I Do Give to my Daughter Rebecker BENNET one Cow and Calf there unto

And I Do Give to my Daughter Mary BENNET One Cow and Calf there unto

And I Do Give to my Daughter Betsse BENNET One fether Bed and furnerture there unto

and I Do Leave my Negrue fellow Ship to my well be Loved wife Darkes BENNET tel all my Children Dos Comes of age and then to be Divided Amunges all my Children there unto

and I Do Leave all the Rest of my Esstate to my beloved Wife During of her Life and and then to be Devided Amungss all my Children and Leaving Darkes BENNET my O Holey Eccekitter

[A mark to the left of Bennet's name looks like an "I" or a "T". Because of the arrangement of the signatures on the original will--Bennet's signature actually appears just to the right of Timothy Etheridge's--it's not completely clear whether the mark belonged to Bennet or to Etheridge].

These may Certifie that Timothy ETHERIDGE and Mary ETHERIDGE appeared in open Court and made oath that they were present and Saw Solomon BENNET Sign Seal publish and Declare the within writing to be and Contain His last will and Testament and that the Said Solomon was then and at that time of Sound and Disposing Memory and at the Same Time appeard Darkis BENNIT Executrix and Took the Excutor oath in Due form of Law orderd that the Honble James MURRY Secretary Have notice thereof that Letters Testamentary Issue thereon as the Law Directs.
