Currituck Co. Will Book 2, p. 223

In the Name of God amen. I Lettisha BELL having called to mind it is Once appointed for persons once to die, & for the better Settling of my Temporal estate do make this my last will & testament as follows. Viz.

I Give & bequeath to my Son John BELL one feather bed & furniture one Pewter half gallon bason one plate & one breeding Sow (?) to him & his heirs forever.

Item. I Give to my Son Robert BELL one feather bed & furniture one half gallon Pewter bason one plate one breeding Sow to him & his heirs forever.

Item. I Give to my daughter Mary WHITEHURST one feather bed which she has now in possession one pewter bason one ______ (?) to her and her heirs forever.

Item. I Give & bequeth to my two daughters Sarah & Elizabeth BELLS all the land That I bought of George ROWLAND, except one acre to be equally divided Between them & their heirs forever.

I give & bequeath to my three daughters Sarah Elizabeth BELLS & Ann YOUNGHUSBAND all the land I bought of Jesse SIMMONS Henry PERKINS except what is Sold & all the land I bought of Thomas CURLING & the land I took up to be equally divided between their heirs forever For Ann to take her part of PERKINS tract on the North Side to the Divide by a line ___ ___ (?) next to my son Robert BELLs line land also I Give to my three daughters Sarah & Betsy & Ann YOUNGHUSBAND all the residue of my Estate within doors & without to be equally divided between them & their heirs forever except ten dollars cash which I give to my Grand Son Samuel THOMSON & his heirs forever.

I do Constitute & appoint my Son Robert BELL & my Daughter Ann YOUNGHUSBAND to be my whole & Sole Executors of this my Last will & testament in witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal This 15th Day of March 1797.
