In the name of God Amen.  Gentlemen being in a sound state of mind & memory I this day the 15th Day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy one do mak and declare this to be my last will and testament.  First and principle of all I recomend my soul into the hands of All mighty God who first gave it to me my boddy I leave to the entire disgresion of my friends to do as they think proper with.  As to my worldly estate I give and bequeath as follows.

Item the 1 - I lend all of my property lands & tenements goods & chattles in doors and out of doors to my dear beloved wife Lydia BEASLEY during her life after her dec'd I give and bequeath all my lands that I hold or belongs to me in Currituck County and all of personal estate to Mary Ann Rebecca ANSELL.  And I also recomend nominate and appoint my wife Lyida BEASLEY as my executrix to settle my estat clear of court expences to sell privately or publicly to pay my just debts.  Day and date above writen.

     A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Caleb C.W. BEASLEY is offered for probate in open court by Cornelius ANSELL, agent for Lydia BEASLEY, the executrix therein named, and the execution of the same was duly proved by the oath and examination of T.F. BAXTER & S.C. SIMMONS, subscribing witnesses thereto, and it appearing that the said C.W. BEASLEY was of full age, of sound and disposing mind and memory, and under no restraint or undue influence to the information, knowledge or belief of the said witnesses, therefore it is adjudged and decreed that the said paper writing and every part thereof be declared to be the last will and testament of the said C.W. BEASLEY.  Ordered to be recorded and filed.
