Anna Baum
January 9, 1851 - Feb. Term 1867

In the name of God Amen be this my last will & testament I Anna BAUM of the County of Currituck & State of North Carolina being of sound mind & good judgment feeling & knowing from a course of nature I must leave the world.  I hereby give and bequeath unto my children my property in the following manner, Viz -

Gift 1st.  I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah HOWARD to her & her heirs forever a certain negro boy by the name of Luck which she has raised and is fully entitled to him about nine years of age.

Gift 2nd.  I give & bequeath unto my beloved daughter Winney FORBES one mare & colt.

I all so give unto Sarah HOWARD one Horse.

My negro men Jim & George I leave or lend unto S.A. BAUM my beloved son 12 months after my decease and all my estate to remain still for one year at the expiration of said time to be sold Jim George & all my estate to pay my debts all that is left after paying my debts to be equally divided among all my children.

I allso leave my beloved son S.A. BAUM my executor to settle my estate.

Currituck County}     February Term, A.D. 1867
     A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Anna BAUM, deceased, is exhibited for probate in open court by Solomon A. BAUM, the executor therein named, and the due execution thereof by the said Anna BAUM is proved by the oath and examination of Abraham TWINE, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto.  It is therefore considered by the Court that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the last will and testament of the said Anna BAUM, and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed.  And thereupon the said Solomon A. BAUM, executor as aforesaid, duly qualifies as such by taking the oath required by law.
