In the name of God Amen, I Samuel BARNARD of the County of Currituck and State of North Carolina, planter, being in a very low state of helth but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind the mortallity of man knowing that it is appointed for man once to die I constitute and appoint this my Last Will and Testament and first of all I recommend my body to the dust from whence it came to be burried in a christan like manner and for what worldly goods it pleased God to endew me with I give and bequeath in the following manner after my just debts is paid.

I give and bequeath unto my Son William BARNARD the land and plantation with all rights and priviledges thereunto belonging to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I lend unto my Daughter Mary BARNARD the above mentioned land and plantation until my Son William BARNARD becomes of age then to return to my Son William as above mentioned.

Item: I give unto my Daughter Mary BARNARD all my household property likewise all without doors and all within doors to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give unto my Wife Abiah BARNARD all her property that she had when we came together to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give unto my Daughter Anna BARNARD one cow yearling to her and her heirs forever.

I do hereby constitute my Daughter Mary BARNARD my trusty friend Thomas MERCER my lawful executors I therefore revok and disaleiw all other wills and testament in witness whereof I do hereby set my hand this 29th day October 1790
