The last will and Testament of Keziah BALLENCE deceased was exhibited in open court at February Term 1845 and the execution of the same proven by the oaths of Mathias ETHERIDGE and Ollea GARRETT two of the subscribing evidences there to and Westley BALLENCE executor there to quallifyed in due form ordered Recorded.

   In the name of God Amen.  I Keziah BALLENCE of Currituck County and State of North Carolina being weake in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same do this day make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say

   First I give unto my Son Westley BALLENCE the land and plantation whereon I now live to him and his heirs for ever also one mare cart and harness ploughs and harness one cow and calf one heifer by the name of Milly one bed and furniture.

   Item I give to my Daughter Sarah BALLENCE one bed and furniture one table one trunk two iron pots and all my setting chairs.

   Item I give to my Son Samuel BALLENCE one red heifer and sow and pigs and the remainder of my hogs to be equally divided betwen my Son Westley BALLENCE and Sarah BALLENCE.

   Item I give to my Son Westley BALLENCE all the corn fodder pork and lard on hand.

   Item to my Daughter Sarah BALLENCE one loom and harness consisting of stays geers warping bears? and screen one wooling and two lining wheels with all the cotton flax and spun stuff on hand also one griddle and duchoven and pot trammels with all the earthen ware on

   Item I give to my Son Westley BALLENCE and Sarah BALLENCE one heifer yearling.

   Item I give to my Daughter Sarah BALLENCE one saft? with all the poltry on hand or dunghill of every sort.

   I give to my Son Westley BALLENCE one chest with all the fat gares? barrels

   Item I give to my Daughter Sarah BALLENCE all the yeopon be on hand also one case and bottles and jugs.

   And if I have forgotten any thing all the remainder I give unto my Son Westley BALLENCE to him and his heirs forever and for he to pay all my just debts and called all my just credits with all funeral expense and last of all I appoint my Son Westley BALLENCE this my lawful executor to this my last will and Testament revoking all others by me made to the present date in witness whereof I set my hand and affix my seal in the year of our Lord January the 16 day 1845.
