Present the State Justices

The Last Will and Testament of Uriah ANGELL late of sd. County. The Last Will and Testament of Wm. ODOWDEY late of sd. County deceased. The l Last Will and Testament of Benj. EVANS late of sd. County deceased. The Last Will and Testament of William POPPLEWELL late of same County deceas'd was in open Court exhibited proved and the respective executors executrix, Qualifyed by takeing the oath by law perscribed all in due form of law; the said Wills stand, here recorded as followeth--

In the name of God Amen, the twenty third day of Aprail 1766 I Uriah ANGELL of the County of Currituck being very sick and weak in body but of perfect memory Thanks be given to God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament . First of all recommending my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be bury'd at the descretion of my executors and as touching such estate whereas it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of the same in manner following.

Impremis: I give unto my Daughter Peggy STEVENS the sum of Fifteen shillings and no more except what I have already given to her.

Item: I give unto my Daughter Agness the sum of Fifteen shillings and no more except what I have already given to her.

Item: I lend unto my Wife all the land and houses whereon I now live except fifty acres lying on the main road, I desire to have sould in case I should not live to sell it my self and the money given to her for the support of her and the family.

Item: I likewise leand all my moveabells estate goods and chattels to my Wife and do sine hur to take care of my Daughter Elisabeth and suppoart hur as long as she lives.

Item: At the death of my Wife I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Millisen all my land houses goods and chattels to hur and hur heirs forever.

Item: It is my desire that my esta shll(sic) not be apprisecd butt my just debts paid as soon as my executors convenienty can.

Item: I do make and ordain my Loveing Wife and Jehew HALL my sole ex. of this my Last Will and Testament. Hereby Utterly disallowing and disanulling all and every other wills and testaments by me any ways before named rattifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
