In the name of God Amen,
In the year one thousand eight hundred and six Febuary the seventh day. I Elijah ADDERSON of the State of North Carolina and County of Currituck, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God, for the same calling to mind the mortallity of my body do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit.

I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty that gave it me and my body to be buried in a christian like maner at the discretion of my executor and as to what worldly estate it hath been pleased Almighty God to bless me with I give and dispose of in the following manner.

Imprimise: I lend the use of my land and plantation unto my well beloved Wife Rache ADDERSON during her natural life and after my Wifes decease, I give and bequeath my above mentioned land and plantation unto my Grand Daughter Sabra JARVIS to her and her heirs for ever.

Item: I lend the use of my land on the Sand Bank to my Wife Rachel ADDERSON during her natural life, and after my Wifes decease, I give and bequeath the above mentioned Bank land unto my Grand Daughter Sabra JARVIS to her and her heirs forever.

My will and desire is that after my decease the after mentioned articles of my estate be sold by my executor for six months credit to wit.- One bed, one barrel of feathers, one gun and all my aminonetion, one new saddle, one large hefher(?), one large ax, one new adds, hand saw, drawing knife and chissels, six stone juggs, one cart, one canoe, five stock of bees, also my acct. on John TARLETON Capt. Eighty five dollars also one canoa in the swamp one fish jity, one ????? coat one hundred and fifty weight of bacon.

Item: I lend the use of all the remaind part of my estate of whatever kind or nature both within and without doors that is not before mentioned to my Wife Rachel ADDARSON during her natural life and after my Wifes decease I give and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Sabra JARVIS all the remainder part of my estate to her and her heirs for ever.

Item: my will and desire is that the money arrising from the sale of the above things, to be sold by my executor to be kept in the hands of my executor and after paying all my just debts and charges and applyed to the use of my Wife Rachel ADDERSON to support her at his discretion and after my Wifes decease if there should be any money left not made use of I give and bequeath it unto my Grand Daughter Sabra JARVIS and her heirs forever.

I do hereby nominate and appoint Thomas POYNER executor of this my Last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal the above day and date.

Date given above is from Currituck County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Minutes in which it is ordered that Daniel Lindsey have the right of administration on the estate of Elijah Adderson with the will annexed because Thomas Poyner, the executor named in the will, declined].
