Morgan Vixon Walker,
son of Clarence Eugene & Sarah Nevada (Burton) Walker,
was
born Feb. 7, 1909 and died June 29, 1984. During WWII Buddy ran
a drugstore and pool hall on Church St. in Hertford NC. It was a
lively place during the 40s when several military bases brought in
hundreds of young men to the area. He later worked with his sister
Shirley and brother-in-law, Glenn Matthews, at Glenn's BBQ,
US 17 on the outskirts of Hertford N C. "The Regulars" hung out at
Glenn's BBQ and enjoyed the food Buddy and wife Cleo
served up. He loved the beaches of Currituck and Dare Counties and
going fishing with his wife and daughters was a favorite pastime of
his. Morgan has two living children.
