| John Bunyan Owens was born to Thomas Steward Owens and his wife Martha Arcena (Creef) Owens on August 27, 1873. John B. Owens married Mary Yula Griggs on April 6, 1902. Mary Yula, the daughter of Daniel Lindsey Griggs and Robanna (Gallop) Griggs, was born May 21, 1880. Mary Yula died April 10, 1950 and John Bunyan died July 5, 1960. Both are buried in Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery in Harbinger, NC. |
