Ambrose Lindsey Owens was born to Noah Owens & Elizabeth Brock on Feb. 3, 1876 & died May 1, 1939.  He married Lucille Caroline Willey (1881-1962) in Baltimore, Maryland on April 8, 1903.  Ambrose & Lucille lived in Plymouth, Washington Co., NC.  Ambrose was a furniture dealer.  To this union were born 3 children.
   1) Edward Lindsey Owens born July 1, 1904 & died July 1, 1964.  He married Eloise Catherine McArthur on June 27, 1932 in Norfolk, Va.  He became an attorney and was active in real estate and farming.
   2) Mildred Garrett Owens born March 5, 1908 & died Dec. 4, 1976.  She became a teacher and taught kindergarten in Plymouth before moving to Virginia Beach, Va. in the late 1930's.  She never married and lived there until her death.
   3) Ambrose Lloyd Owens born March 1, 1911 & died June 27, 1986 in Tarboro, Edgecombe Co., NC.  He married Lillian Francina Worrell in Northampton Co., NC on May 14, 1938.  He was active in the family real estate business and farming.
