Currituck Co., N.C. Houses

L.A. Powell Home

Located on U.S. Highway 158 near Barco.  This was the old Asbury Methodist Church.  Mr. Powell turned its side to the highway and added the porch.  He said he found it put together with wooden pegs.  It has the original wide flooring and original windows.  Also he has used the railing around the chancel for the stairway railing.
