Currituck Co., N.C. Houses

Old Dennis Burfoot Home

Located on N.C. Highway 170 north of Shawboro.  Present owner, Silas Harrison.  This old wooden-pegged house was moved from back in the field and the original chimney lost.  The outside has been covered in asbestos siding but the lines of the original has not been changed.

UPDATE 2/18/2006 from Anne Jennings: This house is still standing and occupied by an heir of Silas Harrison who purchased the home from Edward Roberts.  When Edward Roberts owned the home he moved it from further back in the field closer to the road to its present location.
