15 Nov 1918 - Application for Guardian.  Nellie S. DOZIER, being duly sworn, states that Alice M. DOZIER, is a minor and orphan of Ambrose W. DOZIER and is without guardian; that her estate is worth about $100.00; that she is the proper person entitled to be guardian.  /s/ not signed

[NOTE:  Cemetery records indicate that Ambrose W. Dozier was born Aug. 23, 1891 and died Aug. 26, 1918.  Pasquotank marriage records indicate he married Lillie Nellie Swain in 1913.  Currituck birth records indicate that Alice Marie Dozier, daughter of Ambrose Walston Dozier, was born June 18, 1914.
