C. [Calvin] B. Cason - 1883

10 Oct 1883 - Letters of Administration.  John C. CASON & A.B. HEISTAND, being sworn, states that C.B. CASON is dead without leaving any last will or testament and that John C. CASON  is the proper person to administer on his estate; that said estate is worth about $250.00 and that John C. CASON and A.L. HEISTAND are entitled as heirs thereof.  /s/ J.C. CASON, A.B. HEISTAND (J.C. Cason's oath of administration followed)

10 Oct 1883 - Petition for Order to Sell Personal Property for Cash.  /s/ J.C. CASON, Admr.

NOTE:  Cemetery records show that Calvin B. Cason was born on April 16, 1827 and died Oct. 6, 1883.  His wife, Anne H. Cason, had died in 1880.  They are buried in the Cason Cemetery at Morse's Point close to the Virginia state line.
