26 Feb 1891 - Inventory of chattle property belonging to L.M. BELL, decd, taken by V.L. PITTS, admr, and A.O. DEY.  Nine notes listed as doubtful.  /s/ V.L. PITTS, Admr

27 Feb 1891 - Account of sale of the chattle property belonging to the estate of L.M. BELL, decd, sold by V.L. PITTS, admr.  Various buyers were J.C. WALKER, A.B. MIDGETT, W.P. LANE, Thomas BOWDEN and many others.  Total sale amounted to $325.16.

6 Feb 1891 - 2 Feb 1892 - The estate of L.M. BELL, decd, in account with V.L. PITTS, admr.  Cash on hand $82.40; $1266.70 found in a bank in Norfolk, Va.; several bills were paid by the administrator--one to R.B. MUNDEN for $25.00 for coffin & burial.  Balance of the estate was $1349.14.  /s/ V.L. PITTS, Admr

NOTE: This was found in The Economist-Falcon (Elizabeth City, NC) –Tuesday, February 10, 1891.  "Dr. L.M. BELL of Currituck Co. died on Sunday, age 70 years."  The 1860 Currituck County census lists this man as Lycurgus Bell, physician.
