[Deed Book 59; pg. 315-318]  March 7, 1921. C.H. SIMPSON, J.D. CRAIN, H.B. CRAIN, M. J. MOROSETT, & L.M. MOROSETT, M.J. PUGH, & J. N PUGH of Currituck County to G.V. TOMPSON of Currituck County. Five Hundred Dollars. A certain tract or parcel of land in Poplar Branch Township, Currituck County adjoining the lands of Cleveland AYDLETT, Thomas EVANS and others, bounded as follows ... on the North by the lands of Cleveland AYDLETT, on the East by Dowd's Bay. Bound on the South by the lands of Thomas EVANS and L.M. MORESETTE on the west L.M. MORESETTE and the main road, said tract of land containing 30 acres more or less.  /s/ L. B. CRAIN, J. D. CRAIN, C. BURGESS Clerk Superior Court of Camden Co., NC who took the private examination of Fannie PUGH. Acknowledged by H. B. CRAIN, L. M. MORISETTE and C. H. SIMPSON and J. D. CRAIN & M. J. MORRISETTE, their wives (privately examined) on May 9, 1921 before Lancelot POYNER Notary Public. Registered July 20, 1921 by Thos. W. BAXTER Reg. of Deeds. [NOTE: This deed was transcribed as closely as possible to the way it appears. Due to the peculiarities in the handwriting of the clerk and inconsistencies with the initials and spelling of the surnames, [sic] was not used. I know these people to have been my grandfather, George V. SIMPSON; and his brother, Charles H. SIMPSON; and sisters, Josephine D. Simpson CRAIN, Matilda Jane Simpson MORRISETTE, and Mary Frances Simpson PUGH.]
