At a Court of Pleas and quarter sessions Begun and held for the County of Currituck at the Courthouse in Currituck on the last Monday of November it being the 29th day of November and Contind. by Adjournments Untill the 2nd day of December 1802

Ordered that Elizabeth Dolbie have the Right of Administration on the Estate of Absalom Dolbie deceased at the same time the Administratrix Came into Court who gave bond with Daniel Padrick and Laban Gregory Securities in the Sum of two hundred Pounds who Quallified and Returned an Inventory on oath &c.

Ordered that the Administratrix of the Estate of Absalom Dolbie Deceased sell the parishable Estate of Said deceased & Make return.

Ordered that Edward Hardy Esquire William Gray Tho. Jervise and Lemuel Russell lay off and set appart unto Elizabeth Dolbie widow of Absalom Dolbie deceased so much of the Stock, Crop and provision of said decd. as shall be sufficient for the maintainance of said widow and family for one year Agreeable to act of assembly in Such cases made & provided.

Maund be appointed commissioners of the Courthouse or publick Grounds in Sizable lots if they think that the lot is now laid out is not Sufficient and that the said commissioners rent out said lotts to The highest bidder for one year for the purpose of defraying the contigent charges of said county and that the other part of the Publick Ground not let out be for the use of the Publick at large to sell any kind of provision but not to sell any liquor Cyder or beer &c.

Whereas it is represented to the Court that Negro woman called Nelley and boy Child Called Phillip committed to Goal [sic: Gaol] as run Aways is in a verry bad state of health insomuch that if She Is kept in Goal it is Suggested She can not live Ordered therefore That the Goaler Gideon Marchant take the said Negro woman Nelley and Child Phillip out of goal and keep them in his Own Kitchen or some other house where she can be kept warm and from the inclemency of the weather and that The goaler shall not be liable for damage in case of an Escape or other accidents and the goaler take all [unclear word] care to prevent an escape of said Negro Nelley and Child. [Written across the above order is the word "Recended"].

The Sheriff to Summon a Jury we the subscribers being Summoned By the Sheriff having met on the premises and after being quallified Proceed to lay off unto John Aydelot in right of his wife Mary, late wife of William Forbes decd. her right of dower in her deceased husbands land In the following manner. Beginning at the North West part of the Clared Land at the oven [?] thence So. E. ... thence N. E. to a dead gum marked Gum near the gate at the fence, thence with the Clared land northwardly and westwardly with said Cleared land a round to the beginning Containing about ten Acres of land with all the houses on said land and a priviledge of rail Timber and fire wood to support said third part of land Given under our Hands and Seals this 26th day of October 1802.

To the Sheriff of Currituck County Greetings:
    You are hereby Commanded to Summons a Jury of good and lawful men Unconected with the parties either by affinity or Consanguinity on a day By you appointed to meet on the premises of William Forbes deceased and lay off and alot unto John Aydelot and Mary his wife late Mary Forbes their equitable or proportionable share of her late decd. Husband William Forbes personal estate, according to the decent from the will and according to the prayer of the petitioners and agreeable to act of the general asembly in such cases made and provided and that you the said Jury make due return of your proceedings had thereon to our next Court of please and quarter sessions held for the County of Currituck at the Courthouse In Currituck on the last Monday in November Next.     We the subscribers being sworn by the Sheriff to lay off and set apart to John Aydelott & wife their Proportionable part of William Forbes deceased personal estate we say that said William Forbes died possessed of one Negro Wench by the name of Silve and one boy Child by the name of Sampson and Sundry goods and Chattles. Say that the one seventh part of said negroes and personal estate after the Just Debts are paid belonging to Mary Aydelot late widow of William Forbes & now wife of Aydelot. Given under our Hands and Seals 26th of October 1802
