    On hearing the petition of Polley Gray relict of John Gray deceased, Ordered that Edward Bunnill Esquire, Wallas Bray, Samuel Phillips and Jacob Perkins lay off and set apart unto said widdow so much of the Stock, Crop and provision of John Gray Deceased as will be Sufficient for the maintainance of said widdow and family for one year agreeable to act of assembly in Such Cases made provided &c.

Agreeable to the above Order...we the Subscribers having met and qualified then proceed and say that the above mentioned widdow have for her use and family till the first day of January that is to say what poark and Bacon there is Supposed to be two Barrells of poark and what Corn and Wheat there is on hand we suppose to be to the Value of five Barrells and one half of Corn and what small quantity of fatt there is and for want of there being more provisions on Hand do give his Stock in the room thereof that is to say three Cows and Calves and fifteen Shoats the first choice as witness our hands and seals this 22d day of June 1802

    You are hereby Commanded to Summons Brickhouse Bell, Joseph Gregory, Anthony Simmons, William Lurry and Samuel Etheridge commissioners together with the County Surveyor to meet at a day by you appointed on the premises that Thomas P. Williams bought of the Sheriff by virtue of a writ of Sci Fa. against the lands of John Sawyear late deceased against the lands of Thomas C. Ferebee and establish a line between the parties agreeable to the prayer of the petitioner, and agreeable to act of the general assembly in such cases made and provided and you the said Commissioners are required to make due return of your proceedings had thereon to our next Court...on the last Monday in August Next witness Spence Hall clerk of our said Court at office at Currituck the 3d day of June and in the XXVIth year of our Independance Anno Dom 1802

Currituck County} Pursuant to the annexed order of Court we the Subscribers having met on the premises and after being duly Sworn agreeable to law have proceeded to establish a line between the lands which Thomas P. Williams bought of the Sheriff of said County as the property of John Sawyear deceased and the lands of Thomas C. Ferebee as follows Begining at a persimon tree in Sams Run or Mill dam Branch...above the Bridge then down a branch that Makes out of Said Mill dam Branch...to a beach...to a Red Oak...Persimmon tree...a Small Sweet Gum...to a Bridge called Neds Run Bridge which courses makes down the best Stream or running water that makes out of the mill dam branch to Neds Run bridge being the place where the deed to Thomas Sawyear begins.
Given under our hands and Seals this 19th day of June 1802.

Carolina Currituck County} Persuant to the annexed order of Court we the subscribers have met on the premises whereon Phillip Northern decd. being quallified agreeable to law have proceeded with the Surveyor to run round the manner Plantation as follows begining at a persimmon tree in the lain John Northerns line then [SE] to Swamp side then along the Swamp side [SW]...to a White oake John Northerns Corner [NW] to a Sweet Gum in place of a Poplar corner [various courses] to a White oak a Corner at the mouth of the lain then down the lain...to the beginning to divide the same begining at the persimmon tree...to the gate post then...to a pine the Southward side No. 1...containing 36 acres 3 rods and 15 poles to be equal with the Northward side No. 2 Containing 47 acres 2 rods and no pole.

Currituck County} Persuant to an order of Court we the Subscribers being summoned and met on the premises to lay off and set apart to Charity Northern widow of Phillip Northern decd. her thirds or dowery in her deceased husbands lands...have proceeded to lay them off as follows the Manner Plantation the largest plot. Begining at a persimmon tree in the lain [SE] to a Swamp along the Side [SW and various courses] to the begining containing 56 acres 1 rod & 25 poles for the widows dowery. We begin at the Persimmon tree the begining up the lain [NW] to a Stake then [SW] across the Plantation by a line of Stakes to a Shoe make bush (?) on Swamp side then along the Swamp to the begining containing 18a. 3r. 8p. on which stands the whole of the buildings which we think is not more then is necessary for the widow. We also have divided and set apart to the widow one Third of the apple trees which is 49 adjoining the lain the Cleared land of the other Clearing we have laid off as follows begining at the corner of the Cleared land Next the Mill Run by Simon Wilsons thence [various courses] to Javan Coxes line along his line...to a Persimmon tree on the Swamp side then along the Swamp side to the Begining containing 14 acres 2 rods and 6 poles for the widows dowery or thirds.
