The last Will and Testament of Thomas Dunkin deceased was exhibited in open Court and proved by the Oath of Demcy Quidley at the same time Reuben Burrus Executor therein Named in said will Came into Court and Qualified Thereto and Returned an Inventory ...

Was Exhibited into Open Court the noncupative will of a Mr. Hugh Mooney deceased and proved in due form of Law by the Oath of John Humphries a subscribing Evidence thereto.

Ordered that Bryant Ward have the Rights of Administration on the Estate of Hugh Mooney decd. with his Noncupative will annexed at the same time the said Administrator appeard in open Court and qualified...bond with Jeremiah Land, Samuel Jarvis and Solomon Alcock...one thousand pounds...

The Last will and Testament of Daniel Parr decd. was Exhibited into open Court...proved by the Oaths of Richard Berry and James Grigory at the same time Samuel Dozier Executor therein Named qualified thereto agreeable to law.

The Last will and Testament of Nathan Hall Esquire decd. was Exhibited into Open Court and proved by the Oath of John Gibbons...Jehu Hall Executor therein named qualified...

Ordered that the administrator of the Estate of Nancey Sanderson decd. sell all the negroes belonging to the Estate of the said decd. in order for a division among her lawfull heirs and make return to Next Court.

Ordered that Nancy Dailey be allowed the sum of Sixteen Pounds to be paid in equally quarterly payments for the Maintainance of a bastard Child begotten on her body by William Halstead Blacksmith to Commence from the birth of the Child.

Ordered that William Slaughter orphan of William Slaughter decd. formerly Bound to James Bates be bound an apprentice to John Poyner farmer he being upwards of fourteen years of age and said Poyner to give said orphan such schooling as the Law directs.

Ordered that John Hill and Malachi Read be appointed to adjudge what rent Samuel Miller shall pay for the Plantation formerly Occupied or belonging to Zadock Jones decd. that he obtained by his wife Rebeca Miller decd. to be paid to the surviving heirs of said Zadock Jones decd.

Ordered that Thomas Tillett Esquire, Azariah Baum, Caleb Tolar and John Padrick lay off and allott and set apart to Mary Jones widdow of Thomas Jones decd. so much of the Stock, Crop and Provision of said decd. as may be sufficient for the maintinance of said widdow and family for one year from the death of her decd. husband.

Skinner Esquire having Provided to us a license from the Judges of the Superior Court as a Practising Attorney and Counceller in the Several Courts of Law within this State Ordered therefore that the said Joseph B. Skinner be permitted to practice as an attorney and Counceller in this Court as well as the Several Courts within this district of Edenton.

This plan Represents a piece of land formerly belonging to Daniel Fulford deceased. Begining at a black Gum a Corner between James Jarvise James Lee & the premises (?) then up James Jarvis line...to a Gum...to an Elm...to the Road then along the road...to a small pine Gracey Banks Corner then Along her line North...to a pine [unclear word] her other Corner then along a line of marked Trees...to a Sweet Gum...to a Sasafras...to a Red oak...to a pine in James Lees line Then along his line to the begining Containing 47a 0r 15p then to divide the same Begining at the begining Gum, along Jervises line...a Gum...a post the head of a Ditch...down the ditch to the woods and through the woods by a line of marked tress to a Red Oak then North to a Small gum, in Rachael Fulfords line and we have laid off on the West side 26a 0r 15p and on the East Side 25 acres land and we say that the West side pay to East side or owner thereof six and one quarter silver dollars and on drawing the lots William fulford drawed No. 2 and Mary Fulford No. 1. No. 2 pays to No. 1 6 1/4 Silver dollars.

The above plat represents part of a tract of land Willis Bright bought of George Rowland devised by his will as will be showed hereafter bounded as follows on a Prong of Tulls Creek by the Stream to Ablain (?) which we begin at a pine on the Percoson Side in Wm. Floreys line along the Swamp Side...is a turn in the Creek...mouth of Buckleys Run...to a turn in said Run...to a Small Run near Rowlands bridge...up said Run, the Stream...to and along Lettisha Lees line...to a Pine in a branch Making out of the Run Near Wm. Walmsbys Back dam then down said branch...to a Maple in Miery Branch up said Branch...to Richard Floreys line Along his line...to a Poplar his Corner...to a laurel Wm. Floroes Corner along his line...to beginning containing 230 acres, then to Richard Bright out of that 90 acres joining Wm. Floreys line as in the plat to Solo. Bright 90 acres so as to Take in One Orchared which dividing line begins (blank) Bridge Running ...to an Elm. To Elizabeth Ballentines 50 acres joining Solo. Bright & Lettisha Lees line and Richard Bright bought her part so there was No division line between them.

The Above Represents a piece of land Lazarus Florey Senr. in his Will gave to his sons Lazarus Florey & Richard Florey. Beginning at a pine Richard Floreys Corner, in Miery Branch, Running up the branch N60 E17 Chain N37 E16 Chain to the main Run, or Prong of Tull Creek, up said Run N72 W4 Chain N55 W7, West 5 1/2 Chain N57 W16 1/2 Chain, N77 W3 Chain, N63 W3 1/2 Chain to a Gum, N67 W2 1/2 Chain to an Oak...to a Cypress Corner...To Aaron Brights Corner Gum...to a Cawrel (?) in Miery Branch then up said Branch to the beginning containing 150 acres divided as follows. From the Main Run or Prong of Tulls Creek down the Miery branch...to a black gum, then...to a Gum in back line...from the Corner Cypress, then Round to the Run, up the Run to the beginning is the gift to Lazarus Florey now belonging to Linton Lee. For Richard Florey along the back line to Aaron Brights Corner Gum, then across...to a Laurel in Miery Branch, and up said Branch to the aforesaid Gum, Linton Lees Corner Containing 100 Acres. William Florey would not have his part Run off, as it was the Remainder of the Pattent 50 acres more or less.

You are hereby commanded to Summons a Jury of good and lawful men Together with the County Surveyor to Meet on the Premises of Giles Gibbs deceased and lay off and set appart unto Sarah Gibbs her right of dower of the real and personal estate of said deceased which ought of right to be allotted unto her agreeable to an act of assembly in such cases made and provided & that you the said Jury Make due return of your proceedings to our Next court of Pleas and quarter Sessions held for the County of Currituck on the last Monday in November Next Witness Spence Hall Clerk of our said Court at office at Currituck this 3d day of Septr. & in the XXVI year of the Independance of the said State Anno dom 1801.

Currituck County} Persuant to an order of Court we the Subscribers have met on the Premises of Giles Gibbs deceased and after being sworn agreeable to law have preceeded to go round the Cleared land of said Gibbs deceased begining at a Red Oak on Road Side Benjamin Taylors Corner thence along the Road...to a Post thence...to fence...to fence...the begining Containing 7 acres 3 rods 25 pole.
For the widdows one third or dowery begining at the aforesaid Red Oak on the Road Side...to a Chinquapin Stake then...across to a line in the Woods thence round to the begining on which one third stands the houses & we Say that the whole of the perishable Estate or all but the land be Sold, and that the widdow have one third part of the Neat Amount of said Estate

Currituck County} Agreeable to an order of the Worshipful Court of the County aforesaid we the subscribers being Summoned by the Sheriff having met on the premises and after Being qualifyed proceed to lay off and set appart unto Sarah Linton Widdow of Lazrus Linton Esquire deceased her Right of dower in her deceased husbands lands in the following Manner that is to Say Unto Sarah Linton one third part of the Cleared land on the Plantation whereon said Lazrus Linton Esquire deceased lived and bounded as Follows begining at the North East Corner of the fence of the said Plantation thence Running...to a pine Stump thence...to a Stake at the South Fence against a marked Pine Sapplin in the side of the Woods thence...to the South East Corner of the fence of the said Plantation thence to the Begining Containing about five acres and three quarters Including the dwelling House wherein the said Lazrus Linton deceased lived with all out houses & with a priviledge of Rail Timber and fire wood to support said thirds of the Wood land with a priviledge in the Marsh belonging to said tract of land whereon said Lazrus Linton deceased lived together with a priviledge in all the lands belonging to said Lazrus Linton deceased on the North Banks as far as the Act of assembly In such Cases made and provided will allow said Sarah Linton Widdow of said Lazrus Linton deceased died seized and possessed of.
