"DATES OF INTEREST CONNECTED WITH SHAW-RAY and KELLY-MCINTOSH Families united by the Marriage
of PETER CORNELIUS SHAW and REBECCA KELLY" a compilation by Cornelia Rebekah Shaw (first librarian of
Davidson College and granddaughter of Charles C. Shaw) and Rev. Angus McQueen. This material is thought
to have been compiled "shortly after 1900," but was never published.

I wrote Dr. Douglas F. Kelly, author of Carolina Scots (Dillon, S.C.: 1739 Publications, 1998), and he
said he thought that a copy was held in the Carthage Public Library. I had been in communication with a
third cousin of mine, Rev. Richard "Dick" P. Shaw of Charlotte, NC (great-great grandson of
Charles C. Shaw). Dick mentioned that he had a copy of a Shaw history by the same title as that noted
by Dr. Kelly, but that it bore no indication as to who prepared it. Dick sent me a hard copy, the original
of which is in the possession of Dick's brother, Rev. Angus Robertson Shaw, III of Johnson City, TN. I am
a third-great grandson of Charles C. Shaw." Michael E. Ray
